I’m 15, size 14, 5′5.5 usually a 11/12 during marching season, I’m starting bandcamp in august, school starts the 22, my grandparents refuse to buy healthy food and my mom keeps telling me I look fine but I REALLY want to lose weight. I have a kettle bell and I’m sure I’ll lose weight in august but not nearly enough to be a size 8…any little tricks I can do to help me along the way? I feel really insecure with the way I look…and I have a larger bone structure as well if that helps…

I’ve probably gained around 10 pounds this year. I don’t always binge until I’m about to burst, I mostly eat meals when I’m not hungry. So in other words, I eat a lot when my stomach’s not rumbling and what not, but I never feel too full to function. Food has become my drug of choice, for when I’m happy, sad, angry, bored, stressed and every other feeling under the sun. I find that if I have clean, healthy foods around me I enjoy eating them, but my mom always brings home lots of junk food because she insists it’s healthy for my underweight brother, it’s to hard not to binge on cheetos and kettle corn
.
I guess I have two questions in one (oops):
1) What should I do about my binging problem, I have a counselor’s appointment at the end of the month, what should I do in the meantime?
2) I’ve already talked to my mom plenty and even asked her if we could purchase a lock for our pantry, what should I do? If I can’t do anything, how should I avoid binging on junk?
Thanks for taking the time, I hope someone can help me! Becoming fatter everyday and already have low-confidence.

THIS IS STILL IN PROCESS – PLEASE GIVE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM I WILL TAKE ANY ADVICE THAT WILL HELP.
Before you read: This book is about a girl named Gloria growing up in the 70s, throughout the book Gloria its pressured too do many things, some things she might regret. In this book Gloria learns to love herself and accept her flaws. I would consider this a funny and dramatic book.
"Hi, i’m Gloria Beatrice Kettle and I would like to get a Job!" Gloria practiced this line over and over again in her bathroom mirror but every time she did it sounded worst then the last time. Gloria cleared her voice again "Hello, Im Gloria Kettle i was hoping i can get a job here." she spoke this time with a calmer tone, but still Gloria didn’t like it. "Good Afternoon, i’m Gloria- i saw your shop had a ‘help wanted’ sign outside, i was hoping you’d still have some positions available?" This was it, Gloria was happy with that line she would tell the Old man that owned the Flower Shop. She smiled at the mirror, and looked at herself. She quickly tightened her pony tail and grabbed her book bag. As Gloria headed down the stairs her mom called her in. She sounded worried, "Sweetie you havn’t been eating breakfast" she said, Gloria stood up straight "Mom, i am now 15 years old i need to start watching my figure since i am becoming a women" She responded. Regardless her mom handed her a muffin "Come straight home from school" she said, Gloria was already heading out the door "Cant! i’m going to the flower shop and get a job!" she yelled as she began walking to school. On the way walking as always, Roger would meet her at the old abandoned yellow house. Roger was her best friend. "You gonna eat that?" was the first thing she said, she handed him the muffin and they started walking to school. Gloria wasn’t the most popular girl in the school, in fact, she wasn’t known at all. It bothered Gloria sometimes but whenever she and roger hung out she felt like she didn’t need anymore friends. Roger wasn’t the most popular kid in the school either, in fact- he spent most of his time after school in the science lab trying out and building all types of inventions. He would sometimes get Gloria too test it out, he loved spending time with Gloria as much as she did with him. Roger was average height and a bit lanky, his hair was jet black and always kept neat. He didn’t spend much time worrying about his appearance since he didn’t have anyone to impress. Gloria on the other hand would always try to change something about herself, Her long brown hair was the only thing that didnt though, it was always part in the middle with long flowing waves. She would always try to be in style but her parents didn’t want to spoil her just because she was an only child. "Your hairs different today" Roger said, Gloria looked at him curiously "What made you notice?" "Well, you always have your hair down- everytime i see you your hair is down so i would notice" "Oh, well do you like it?" "Its alright.." Roger said as if he didn’t care, "I read this magazine and they say the more skin you show your most likely too get approached." "Why do you care about what a magazine says?" "Because Roger, well– your wouldn’t understand because your guy." "Oh well, whatever- i like your hair down." Gloria didn’t say anything afterwards.

My mother is a nice person and all, but she is a lazy, impulsive, and a procrastinator. I didn’t have a problem with it until it started to interfere with my life and surroundings. So far:
-She bought me a new TV for Christmas… and it’s still to this day not even in my room. I nicely ask her to mount it, and the answer is always "I will, later."
-We have a washer and dryer that have been broken for about a year now, and I don’t want to hear about "she can’t afford it" because she goes on day trips and goes out to eat and purchases seafood and clothes and stuff every day. Literally. Now I can’t wash my clothes and they just sit around and pile up and she procrastinates going to the laundromat too!
-Our garage door has been broken for about two years.
-She planned to remodel her room, so she put all of her decorating items in the guest room (where my company stays, and I have company often). It’s been like that since the middle of last year! Now it’s super crowded in there and my company and I are tripping over items and almost breaking things my mom paid good money for.
-I have braces, and I’m a sophomore in high school. So far she has forgotten about, or made me miss three consecutive appointments. That’s three extra months with these wretched little beasts on my teeth. And that’s a good 0, 0 dollars in late fees!
I feel like I am becoming like her, and I need to stop being that pot calling the kettle black. But I also think since she controls the finances she should, you know, USE THEM. (Properly.) So, am I wrong? What do I do?

Well first off thank you so much for even clicking on this to answer this question i seriously need all the help i can get !
Well i read on an article a few hours back that said steaming does a whole lot of favor’s for opening your pores … and that after you could squeeze your black heads and they would go so i thought fuck me there is something that can get rid of them and repeatedly started singing hallelujah anywayy just a few minute’s ago i tried it as following ….
Tied my hair back, got a bowl full of hot water ….done in the kettle put it on the table sat down with my head over the bowl and then placed a towel over my head and the bowl left it for about 7 minutes (sweating like a pig ) and rushed to the mirror and started squeezing at my blackheads but nothing happened at all and none of them have cleared up !!!
I really NEED to get rid of them !(yeah i put that in capitals , im brave) i have tons of them and they really bother me
So my question is why didn’t the steam thing work and how can i get rid of the without buying anything ? cause im cheap skate verging on hobo-ism ….you know you like it.

Right from the beginning:- I have got an O2 reg ford fiesta, 114,000 miles on the clock.
about 3 months ago i had a water leakage from the core plug, found a little hole that it was bursting water from, had called the AA to confirm this, he put a temporary putty on it till it got towed to the garage to which they charged me £120 to get fixed, was an awkward part to change.
Then, water was still leaking, had a pipe changed near the back on the engine. Can’t remember where it was coming from. Had that fixed. Then was driving again, and the bonnet was steaming. i stopped the car, let it cool down, looked in the water bottle, no water left! So obviously there was another leak. Took it back to the garage, they said it could be the water pump, so left it there for them to look at, and it turned out to be the water housing unit, cost me around £70 supply and fit.
The same weekend i also had my MOT, went through with a few minor adjustments.
Was determined that my car was ok…untillast thursday, i travelled about 5 miles to my friends house, stopped on the way and there steam coming from under the bonnet again, i got out my car and there was rusty water pouring out really fast. Didn’t wanna stay on the busy main road so i managed to get it to my friends house, i called the AA, they came out, had a look at my water bottle, it was full, but noticed the pressure cap wasn’t on properly. Then he did a pressure test, he said it was fine, so this meant there was no leakages. His advice that night was to get a new pressure cap and to put some more coolant in. So we did this the next day, cost me £7. THEN…I was taking my mom food shopping last night, just a mile into my journey the temperature light came on so we stopped outside my nans house which was just around the corner. Opened the bonnet and it was sissing from the water, so we waited for it to cool down again, opened the water bottle and there was no water left. We filled a kettle up and poured it in, still wasn’t full but it was an improvement. So we carried on, it was only an extra 2 miles, stopped at Morrisons, went round did the shopping etc, bought 2 bottles of water just in case. Got back to the car opened it up again, the water was low again! so i poured a 2 litre bottle of water in and got my car back home. Woke up this morning, it was low again, my dad had to top it up with yet more water.
So, we’ve had the core plug changed, a pipe near the back on the right hand side. the water housing unit, a new pressure cap. What else can it be. We now think it could be something to do with the radiator. The car is booked in for tomorrow at our local garage, but was just wondering if there are any experts out there that could give me abit more of advice. Would really appreciate it, sorry for the huge essay!.
Have noticed that there leak mainly happens whilst the engine is running, so its obviously when its trying to circulate. And also, the water is coming from the very front of the car, sort of behind the number plate.
If it is the radiator, is it advisable not to drive?

by the way i am 23 and my mom is rough and tough with me and she makes me cry sometimes. my mom makes me do chores and if i do not do my chores she punishes me. if i do not empty the dishwasher in a good time frame then i need to load it to, and if i do not empty the trash on thursdays then on fridays when my parents go out to dinner and shopping i have to stay home and be punished. well last thursday i came home from work with a bad nauseous headache, so i laid down and rested most of the evening. well because i had a headache i did not go my chores which is understandable because of not feeling well. on thursday when my mom got home my step dad told her that i did not go my chores and she said i know she has a headache. well friday morning i called my mom to tell her something, and she was like since u did not do ur chores last night u can’t go out tonight with us u have to stay home. she was like i realized that u had a headache but u still should have done ur chores as if u felt good. when my mom told me this i started to cry so much that i ended up getting sick a few times because of crying. (BY THE WAY MY MOM THINKS THAT I SHOULD DO MY CHORES EVEN WHEN I AM SICK). then friday night i was in my room doing something and she comes in and was like lets go u r going out with us, and i looked at her funny and she was like u can go out with us this time was a warning next time we will start ur punishment. she was calling the kettle black.
is my mom nuts for punishing me for not doing my chores? and is she also nuts for making me do my chores when i am sick.
P.S. there is a lot more stuff that my mom says and does: for example when my lung doctor gave me asthma med to try my mom would not let me have the script when i asked for it, and once i wanted to go to the ER and she td me no i was not an emergency so therefore i was not going.
P.S. i pay rent, i buy my own food for when i am at work/volunteering, i pay for my own things and dinner when we go out and if m mom buys something for me she expects me to pay her back as soon as i can, i do go so school which is why i live at home, and at times my mom borrows money from me when she needs some.

My step father & I haven’t really talked in years, even though we live in the same house. It’s hard, but it works. We just don’t get along. The reasoning behind it is a long story & really has nothing to do with the question. Anyway,
For some reason my step father will not eat any food that I cook. Like today, I cooked a roasted pork shoulder, rice & beans for dinner. I made sure we had enough for my mom, him & I. We all sat down to eat & he had a T.V dinner in front of him. My Mom says that he doesn’t want to eat anything I buy. Which comes to my question, my step father’s birthday is on the 19th & I don’t really have a lot of money to buy him a gift, so I was thinking about making him a cake. But now that I think about it- why should I make him a cake? Is he even going to eat it?
I’m really not trying to sound selfish, but if a Christmas, Easter or birthday goes by & I don’t get him a gift- I hear it from my Mom. But I haven’t received a gift from him since after I turned 18. My Mom just always signs his name to her card. Not that it matters whether or not I get a gift, but its sort of like the pot calling the kettle black, only its my Mom. Hope that makes sense.
Anyway, what do you guys think? Should I make him the cake & risk getting my feelings hurt if he doesn’t eat it? Or not make it at all & just give him the card I got him?
Old Mister Happy – You’re probably correct, but I’m paying my college tuition 100% on my own, no help from my Mom or financial aid. I don’t exactly have the means to move out on my own yet.

Ok, here’s what happened this morning,.
.
My mom boils a hot water for her coffee, the water she puts in the kettle is clear, her cup is clean and same as the spoon she used. She puts coffee, powdered cream and sugar and the hot water. then she puts back the kettle on the stove but when my mom look at her coffee it’s purely black, It supposed to be color light brown because of the cream. But it’s black. when she stirs the coffee, it becomes more and more black. But the smell is still coffee. So she throws it away, never take a sip, and she have another cup of coffee. but this time the coffee is not black anymore. It’s light brown (like a normal coffee with cream), she still uses the water from the kettle, and nothing hap pends to her.
What do you guys think about this paranormal activity?
This is the 1st time that this thing happened in our house, and that was really terrifying…
By the way, she never put anything on the kettle except water to boil. She puts the coffee, powdered cream and sugar on her cup. Nothing more, nothing less.
And how can the powdered cream can be burned? I re-annact exactly what she did this morning but the coffee with cream I made is light brown… not black…
Guys, another info – She never forgets to put cream on her coffee… She knows what is the color of the coffee when no cream is added and when there is a cream.
She also said that it is not really black, it’s more like a dark grey colored coffee. And there is no difference when she adds cream before or after because the color of the coffee is still light brown (like a normal coffee with cream color) and I tested it for myself many times.

So I usually get hungry between lunch and dinner. And i’m at home during that time so I like to just snack on something. And my mom always buys the Orville Redenbachers kettle corn. And i loooove it. (: Ha. Its like 30 calories per bag, but it has 60 carbs. So.. I’m sort of unsure.
What matters more?
