How many deadlifts should I do?

Thursday, May 19th, 2011

On a quest to tone up (and hopefully lift my butt lol!) i’m hoping deadlifts will help but I have no idea how many reps is a good idea for the amount of weights I have? I haven’t a gym set, just some ankle weights that are about 4.5kg in total i think. I kinda just hold onto the strapping lol. Would getting a kettle bell be a good idea? Is 7.5kg good? Or would it bulk me up? (i’d like to avoid that)

I’m just under 58kg, 5′2". Currently I’m doing 100 reps (5 sets of 20). I find squats build up my thighs, hence i’d like to avoid anything that involves a squat move (like stairs etc) but i wouldn’t mind any other exercises that can help tone the back of my legs and lift my glutes.

Oh, ps, i just had surgery so high impact activity is off limits atm! :( (bought a skipping rope to use in the back garden and i can’t yet!)

Thanks in advance!

What can I fill in mini black St. Patrick's Day Kettles?

    Thursday, March 31st, 2011

Hi, in March I have a lady’s get-together and I would like to do a St. Patrick’s Day theme. I bought these cute little black St. Patrick’s Day kettles (think of pot-of-gold ketttle), but I don’t know what to put inside of it. They measure 2.5in diameter and is 2 inches tall. It would be one pot for each lady. Any suggestions as to what I could put inside to make it a St. Patrick’s Day theme? And do you have any other decorating ideas? Thanks in advance :)

What type of power pack do I need for my HP C5280 Printer?

      Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011

Hi and thanks for checking out my question!

I have a HP Photosmart C5280 printer and I cant find the Power pack, I know with HP printers a powerpack must be used instead of a standard style "kettle cord" as used with most printers.

Is there a standard powerpack for all HP printers (I should be so lucky) or do I need a specific one and if so how do I identify the correct one?

I guess I would like to buy one from ebay (uk) if possible.

      Ok! Thanks in advance!!!!
I have now found the answer:

      Its HP part no: Q8100-60226

Unfortunatly it is over 0 new.

I have found one for in the USA but that would mean a long wait, heavy postage costs (if they ship to the UK at all)

And I cant find any for sale at all in the UK. Anyone able to suggest somewhere?

It would be cheaper for me to throw away the printer than to buy one direct from HP!

New to Grilling, can someone tell me the basics please?

        Tuesday, October 12th, 2010

A friend of mine just gave me a basic kettle grill. I bought some charcoal and lighter fluid…but now I have no idea exactly how to grill my food! Do I just light the coals and put the food over them? Is there a way to tell if the fire is hot enough or too hot? Should I use foil? And how long do you cook certain things? Any advice would help a lot, I’m a complete beginner when it comes to grilling. Thanks in advance! : )

Help! I've got the brown bag blues!?

        Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

I’m trying take lunch to work but I’m getting really bored. Here are a few things about me:

        * I’m not a big sandwich person. I’m more likely to eat tuna salad on rye crisp rather than a tuna sandwich.

        * I do eat meat and I have no dietary restrictions.

        * I like both hot and cold lunches.

        * Some of my favorite vegetables are spinach, zucchini, carrots, celery and green beans.

        * I hate peanuts, but I like sunflower seeds and cashews.

        * I like cheese, especially gorgonzola, feta and parmesan reggiano.

        * I like Mediterranean flavors

        * I’m not a picky or fancy eater. I need things that are pretty easy/quick to throw together since self-discipline in making my lunch is a bit of an issue

        * The staff room at work has a refrigerator, microwave and electric kettle. No stove or oven. I could get an electric skillet to keep in the staff room (I do like to sautee spinach, garlic and feta).

Thanks in advance for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
        I love pasta, too!

I should add that I often work 12 hour shifts so I eat a snack around 11 AM and then "lunch" around 3 PM is my main meal on work days.

Looking for a new stove-top tea kettle for my mom. Any suggestions?

        Thursday, August 5th, 2010

My mom’s birthday is coming up, and she’s needed a new whistling tea kettle for a while. However, she’s afraid that metal will leak into the water when it boils inside. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I need some suggestions of a good brand to look for/buy.

        Thanks in advance!

Where to buy electrical goods in canada?

        Saturday, July 10th, 2010

I now live in Vancouver, BC. I need to buy things like a TV, toaster, kettle etc. What’s the name of some big stores (the equivalent of Curry’s or Comet in the UK, or the equivalent of IKEA but for electrical goods instead of furniture) that I can go to? By the way I’m after big(gish) chain stores only so that I can look online at their goods,

        thanks in advance
